A mesh drying frame for the clothes that must not be hung. Knitwear on a line stretches under its own wet weight — the shoulders drop, the body lengthens, and a jumper that fitted in September is a different garment by October. Drying flat is the only way round it.

The mesh lets air move underneath as well as over, so a wool jumper dries through in a day instead of staying damp in the middle. The frames stack, so two loads take one load's worth of floor space, and the legs lift the mesh clear of whatever is below.

What it is good for

Wool, cashmere, cotton knits, hand-washed delicates and swimwear. Roll the garment in a towel first to take out the worst of the water, then lay it flat and reshape it while it is still damp — that is the moment the shape sets.

Care

Rinse the mesh from time to time and let it dry fully before folding it away, or it will hold a smell.
