A small collection, chosen on the basis that most shoes are bought for one occasion and then worn for a hundred ordinary days. What follows is how the styles here differ in practice.
Loafers and slip-ons are the smart-but-easy option. No laces means they go on at the door and come off at airport security, and they read as considered with chinos or tailored trousers. The trade-off is that a slip-on cannot be adjusted, so fit matters more at the point of ordering. Lace-ups and boots let you set the tension across the instep, which is what you want if your foot is wider or narrower than average, and boots add grip and coverage for wet pavements.
Trainers and cushioned styles are for the days that involve genuine mileage. A cushioned midsole is the single feature that changes how your feet feel after several hours of hard ground. Sandals cover the warm end of the year.
Sizing. European sizing, true to size for most feet. If you are between sizes, or you wear a thicker sock through winter, take the larger of the two.
Every order is dispatched with tracking, with 30 days to return anything unworn.
